ABOUT D2D HOCKEY

WELCOME TO D2D HOCKEY

Located in London, Ontario, D2D Hockey has been helping young hockey players
develop their skills for more than a decade.

Founded and led by Bryan Rodney, D2D provides defense-focused player development for skaters U9 and older, welcoming players of all skill levels who are looking to improve their game.

Programs focus on developing individual skills and habits that players need to become more confident, effective hockey players. From skating, puck skills and passing to defensive positioning, decision-making and game awareness, players are taught the details of the game that make a difference every time they step on the ice.

At D2D, we believe development is about more than simply running drills. It's about understanding why a skill matters, learning how to execute it properly, and developing the confidence to use it in a game.

Whether your player is working toward making a team, looking to become a stronger defenseman, or simply wants to become a better hockey player, D2D Hockey is committed to helping every skater reach their potential.

TESTIMONIALS

“This summer my son made a commitment to work everyday to improve his hockey skills. He is very passionate about the game and with a little guidance he followed through with those commitments.  He's made huge improvements in every aspect of the game this year, especially with his mentality.  The biggest jump in improvement I saw was through your 10 week summer program. He had always been a little scrambled chasing pucks into corners and making a strong outlet pass. Often he would hesitate and simply throw the puck up the boards rather than look at his options and control possession. The drills you had him execute made him more comfortable with trying different evasive routes, pressing offensively or holding that puck a little longer to make the right pass. He has always loved the position of defense and now he's finally been playing with the confidence only PROPER practice can instill.  Thank you for putting on a great camp this summer Bryan and I hope for success with D2D.”

INSTRUCTOR EXPERIENCE

Bryan Rodney brings a unique combination of high-level playing experience and more than a decade of youth player development .

Bryan spent 11 years playing professional hockey, with experience in the NHL, AHL, Czech Extraliga, Austrian EBEL and ECHL.
His playing career provided him with an extensive understanding of the skills, habits, work ethic, and details required to compete at a high level.

For the past 10 years, Bryan has put that experience into developing young players through D2D Hockey,
while also serving as both an Assistant Coach and Head Coach at the minor hockey level.
His coaching experience includes Oakridge MD, U9/U10 St. Thomas, and U10–U14 London Jr. Knights AA and AAA teams.

Working with young players year after year has given Bryan a deep understanding of how players develop at different ages, how to break down skills, and how to teach those skills in a way that players can understand and apply on the ice. Today, Bryan combines his professional playing background with years of  coaching and player development to build strong fundamentals and develop confident  hockey players.

FUN FACTS:

Bryan was the first undrafted player to reach the NHL after being diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis.

Bryan scored his 1st NHL goal vs. WSH. In the same game John Carlson also scored his 1st NHL goal.
Both are former London Knights!

Bryan tallied the primary assist on Rod Brind'Amour's last NHL goal.

Bryan was the brainchild of the London Knights "house of green" during the 2005 OHL playoffs and Memorial Cup.

The House of Green is still used to this day by the London Knights during the OHL playoffs.
